Website NGYC

For Webdesign Advanced, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a talented group of four to create a website for a Youth Club. The goal was to design a website that would meet the client’s needs while ensuring it was both visually appealing and functional. Our task was to develop the index page as a group, while each member was responsible for creating two additional pages that contributed to the overall concept. The project required us to focus on the client’s specific requirements, ensuring that the final product would serve the Youth Club effectively.

I contributed to the project by defining the overall style of the website. To ensure visual consistency, we selected four colors that we would implement throughout the website. This color scheme created a cohesive look and helped reinforce the brand identity. Additionally, I designed a logo that we displayed prominently on the website, adding a personalized touch. On the index page, I took charge of creating the header, footer, and subscription box, ensuring that the layout was clean, user-friendly, and functional.

Beyond the index page, I worked on adding two specific pages to the website: the “Success Stories” and the “FAQ” pages. These pages were designed to provide value to users while also meeting the client’s objectives. For the “FAQ” page, I implemented a JavaScript function that allowed users to search for answers based on keywords. This added a layer of interactivity and made it easier for visitors to find the information they were looking for. For the “Success Stories” page, I added another JavaScript feature that enabled users to click a “Read More” button to view popup articles, enhancing user engagement and providing a more dynamic experience.

This project was a great opportunity to work collaboratively on a real-world website design, combining both technical skills and creativity. It allowed me to apply my knowledge of web development and design principles while considering the practical needs of the client. I also gained experience in using JavaScript to add interactivity to the site, which was crucial in making the website more engaging and user-friendly.

Overall, the Youth Club website was a success. It provided a clean, modern design that met the client’s requirements, while also offering functional features that enhanced the user experience. The project was a valuable learning experience, and I’m proud of the final product we created as a team. It reinforced the importance of thoughtful design and the role of interactivity in building an effective and engaging website.
